town of Essex
The Essex Centre BIA is an association of busines people who have joined together to improve business for the more than 200 Essex businesses and services in its jurisdiction.
Operating through a board of 8 individuals who own or work in downtown businesses, the BIA’s primary function is twofold: one is to improve the physical environment of the area, and the other is assist with economic redevelopment of the local business community through area-wide promotion and advertising.
A Rich History
Located at the hub of Essex County, Essex Centre was born when the Canada Southern Railway laid tracks across the Talbot Trail in 1872. The settlement grew quickly, spurred on by a productive lumber industry and the establishment of key services
How To Find Us
From London and Toronto, drive west on Highway 401 until you reach exit 28 for puce Road/County Road 25. Turn left onto Puce Road and follow the paved road to County Road 46. Take the first right onto County Road 46, then the first left onto Naylor sideroad/County road 23. At the roadabout, take the maidstone or Fiarview Exit into Essex Centre.
From The Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, take Huron Church road to the Highway 3 exit to Leamington. Stay on Highway 3 until you see the sign for Essex at County Road 8. Turn left.
